Ganaflor is a Costa Rican family-owned company founded by Luis Rodríguez Salas, and currently managed by one of his grandsons, Luis Rodríguez Beer.

The company has a 1000 hectare (2470 acres) farm located in Grecia, in the Province of Alajuela, Costa Rica. It was first focused on cattle, and later on, on cocoa, wood, and macadamia plantations. However, since Costa Rican climate is among the richest pineapple growing climates in the world, with a year round harvest, Ganaflor started pineapple production for the international market in 1991, and then, it became so successful that eventually this fruit ended up displacing the other crops. 

Nowadays, Ganaflor hires 300 employees and produces 23,400 tons of premium quality extra sweet pineapple per year, all of which is exported to the USA, Canada, Belgium, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Ukraine, England, Italy, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, and The Netherlands. Moreover, Ganaflor is widely known as a company with an unwavering social, environmental and corporate commitment.
